The Moxy Fayetteville offers a trendy, social atmosphere with a lively bar and unique event spaces, particularly the outdoor seating area with games and firepits. However, guests consistently report issues with uncomfortable beds, limited room amenities, and frustrating parking policies. The staff is frequently praised for its friendliness and attentiveness.
The workers are very nice and helpful. The bar and hangout areas are amazing. The beds are so uncomfortable. Like sleeping on a rock. I woke up in so much pain! The tv didn’t work at all and just played a Moxy commercial in a continuous loop. We tried everything. There is no guide. No liner in the trash cans, no closet, no iron, no drawers for clothing. The tv is even off center from the bed. It’s also very noisy in the sense of you can hear every single noise from the haul, outside, and rooms next door. Rooms are small for the price but the entertainment areas outside and by the bar are really nice. The required Valle parking is also very annoying. $30 for parking for one night is silly.
Hotel tries a bit too hard to be cool with European vibes. I’ll never give a hotel with rectangular toilet seats 5 stars. Great activity room upstairs above the lobby. Great gym! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Basically mandatory valet parking for $30 per night, but you can probably park next door without much concern even though there are signs.
Pros are its a very lively and social place. Cons are they make you pay for valet parking at $30/Nights when its not necessary. They could charge less considering most people parked themselves. Having the check in at the bar with the bartender doing everything is insane to me. And when I say everything I mean, checking people in, bartenders, getting ice (there are no ice machines on the floors) making food, answering the phones, taking stuff up to rooms, etc. And there was usually only 1 there at a time. So basically have patience. But as someone who just had major spinal cord surgery 2 weeks ago and need ice for my machine, it was ridiculous having to wait for it. Their "stash" closets were never stocked. We were there 5 days and never once seen it done. If we needed something, we would have to go floor to floor looking for it. Art work you can tear off and take home which is neat, and they also have a free fun photo booth. Check my fb out for my full, honest review.
I expect a whole lot more from Marriott!! Not a hotel for adults. Certainly not worth $1,200 for 5 nights. The furniture inside the room was comfortable and for the very small space was functional. However, if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. You can hear everything single door slam, person walking down the hall, and sneezes near by. The people above me were stomping all hours of the day and night and the front office was unable to circumvent the disturbance, despite telling me it was handled- twice. The room is equipped with a sound machine, but it was not enough to reduce the inconsiderate neighbors. For the amount you pay for the hotel you'd expect more amenities. No laundry, no fan in the bathroom (so the room got muggy after a shower), no ice machine, no coffee in room, inconsistent HVAC cooling, and very few food options in the hotel itself. Location is good with a few quality restaurants near by and right off the greenbelt. About a 30 minute walk to UARK.
The vibe is fine - typical sort of millennial chic aesthetic that's popular in hotels built in the last 10 years. The bartenders are all nice, and attentive even when there's a rush. The nuisance is, it seems like in an attempt to enforce their valet service, the entire S Yard parking lot now requires one to scan a QR code to validate 2 hour free parking, even if you're a customer of nearby businesses. The parking lot is almost always very empty, and S Fayetteville always has nearby lots in the cases which it is not, so it feels like an overstep in their stake of S Yard. But I'm sure it helps them ensure they get that extra $30 from each guest.
It's a nice little hotel. Small rooms, hard beds, thin walls, but somehow I find it kind of charming. The bar/lobby is a cool hangout spot if you're into that scene and you have any access to the Razorback Greenway walking trail as well. I have enjoyed my time here so far and is a nice change of pace from the Fairfields and Courtyards I too often find myself in.
First thing first the valet was absolutely amazing. That is the first thing I noticed once I came here. He was on point and he went above and beyond for us accommodated every need we had. Second the bartenders and the bar were just absolute perfection. Atmosphere was amazing. Now onto the room. Love them! The vibes in the rooms is something I’ve never seen before. Have to come by. You will love it!
Fun new hotel off MLK near the university in Fayetteville. They are located in the same lot as Sweetgreen and Taco and Tamale. I have not stayed here but I have been here twice for events. They mostly have valet parking in the front and if you want regular parking you have to drive around to the back or side and find a spot that is not residential or for the restaurant's in the same area so that was a little tricky. They have a nice open out door seating area by the main entrance that has outdoor games, lots of seating, a big lawn area, and firepits. The entrance is a little different- you enter below which goes into a casual car seating area that used to be a parking garage. The check in area is actually the bar. Lots of seating, tv, live music, games, photo booth, and drinks and some bar snacks. Up the stairs is a loft meeting space where they host events like the book swap that I attended. Not as big as a ballroom space, more meeting room for small gatherings. Overall, 4 stars for a meeting space/hang out without rating and seeing the rooms.
I love the Moxy Fayetteville location, generally I do not enjoy the European style stay that is typical of the Moxy brand, however the service and care at the Moxy is TOP NOTCH! Kendall, Arthur and all other bar staff made me feel like family during my stay. The rooms are quite small but i didn’t even care because I was in the lobby all night long ! With parking being valet only I was initially frustrated to add another expenditure to my stay but the attentive and friendly service from Chase and all other valet staff was excellent ! Well worth the security and convenience ! It cannot be over stated how kind and friendly the bartenders/front desk staff is, and highly competent ! Kendall especially turned my trip around ! And I WILL be staying again when I next visit Fayetteville!
