The Holiday Inn Convention Center-Texarkana offers a generally positive experience, highlighted by friendly and attentive staff, particularly at breakfast. While some rooms have maintenance issues, cleanliness is consistent and the location is convenient with nearby amenities. However, recent guests have reported issues with room quality and reservation discrepancies.
Got a suite. Has a jetted tub and a shower. Honestly its extremely clean and its quick to check in. Love staying at this hotel. Only downside is having others above you sometimes it can get loud, but not the hotels fault. Still would recommend
They have one of the best complimentary breakfasts! Lynda was so attentive and detailed oriented! The lady at front desk was as well. Overall, a great experience
It seemed like before my stay someone tried to break as much as possible without causing noticable damage. There were many strange factors about my room: firstly, the door was difficult to open upon arrival. Swiping the card would turn the light green and the door wouldn't open. The front desk seemed very familiar with the situation and told me to wait a few seconds before opening the door after scanning the card. This worked. Some issues happen with a building as it gets older. There were still numerous issues. The insides of the USB ports on the lamp were ripped out. The shelves under the TV were broken. The sprinkler on the ceiling wasn't flush with the ceiling but looked like it had been pulled down. The drain stopper in the sink was missing the top. On top of all of this, the towel rack was in the shower? Had nobody thought about why putting the towels in the shower is a silly idea? Other than the dysfunctional furniture, the rest of the room seemed to be alright. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Many of the rooms are just in the need of a maintenance crew to go through and fix the furniture or replace what cannot be fixed. The front desk staff were kind and the building was in a safe area.
Rooms were decent but for the price of nearly $200 it seems pricey however, what made our stay was breakfast. The food was excellent and the service from Lynda was incredible she was very welcoming and helpful getting me set up with our 14-month old. Holiday Inn is lucky to have a great staff member like her to make peoples stay more enjoyable!
We love visiting Bridging the Gaps ministries and in Texarkana and the hotel ? we stay in there each time is usually the Holliday Inn express. It has the same exceptional Staff service and clean facilities everytime. Our most favorite think to do each day is have breakfast and talk with other guest but we actually enjoy talking with the staff and have built relationships and look forward to to seeing Lynda again. The breakfast is always wholesome and thee environment reminds me of Hawaii or the island and some mornings I dress up and imagine a beach near by. There are pools so plenty of water to have fun in.
Was visiting from out of state. The hotel is in a good location, plenty of restaurants and a Walmart nearby. Room and bathroom were clean. Front desk staff were very nice, and the breakfast was great! Only downside to my stay was the wifi was kinda useless. I couldn't connect half the time and when I did it was spotty. Possibly because I was on the top floor and down near the end? I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
The breakfast restaurant staff were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, they were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. We’ve stayed at this hotel twice in the past month, and even though the staff members were different each time, the experience was consistently excellent. Everyone went the extra mile to make sure we had a great breakfast experience. Service was prompt, thoughtful, and always delivered with a smile. A great overall example of consistent, high-quality treatment of guests. Highly appreciated and highly recommended.
We had a great stay here with our employees during the middle of a snow storm recently. Due to cancelled flights and other issues, we needed a place for our employees and we were able to easily book online. I followed up with a call and we spoke with the front desk manager that evening named Quinn. She was wonderful and so helpful! Her kindness really helped during an aggravating set of circumstances with cancelled flights, car rental cancellations, closed airports and more. Thank you Quinn and the morning manager as well! (don't have a name for him)! We appreciate it so much!!
The worst experience I've ever had at a Holiday Inn or IHG hotel! I reserved a King room for a 3 night stay. The hotel changed my reservation without telling me to a room with 2 queens. They didn't call and when I checked in, the subject was never addressed. I then went to my room and discovered it was not what I paid for. When I asked the front desk, they said they didn't have a king. They offered 1000 points, I wanted my king room. The room looked like a refurbished Motel 6. I'm glad that I brought my own sheets. I should have gotten an Airbnb. To make a long story short, the manager and customer service concluded that 7000 points should be enough for the inconvenience. A king for one night is at least 22000 points. The customer service was horrible. It would be better to stay under a bridge that to spend one night in that establishment. And I am a long-time member. It was ridiculous.
