The Courtyard by Marriott Little Rock Downtown offers a convenient location in the River Market District, praised for its walkable access to restaurants and attractions like the Clinton Presidential Center. While generally appreciated for its modern amenities and friendly staff, recent reviews highlight concerns about housekeeping consistency, outdated room conditions, and billing discrepancies. The hotel's bar and its talented bartender, Julie, are a notable highlight, as is its proximity to downtown amenities.
First got into my room which was a balcony and looked to the desk area and one of the glasses had a half glass of something in it from being used. There is no longer a pool which was demolished about a year ago we was told. It does have a fitness center, starbucks and food(not included). Overall, great place and easily located to walk downtown area.
There was a reservation issue from the hotels standpoint and front desk was less than helpful. That should have been our first sign to book somewhere else. When we were finally able to check in the front desk attendant was very short and seemed annoyed. As a reward we got a view of our neighbors and the VERY loud AC units. The rooms are very dingy and there were crumbs on the sofa bed like it wasn't cleaned properly. After 7 hours on the road this is not how we wanted our evening to go. Defeated we opted to stay instead of fighting with the front desk again. We will know next time. My husband cleaned the crumbs so I would feel better otherwise I would have posted it.
The Courtyard by Marriott Little Rock Downtown is the frickin' bee's knees. The highly walkable location on President Clinton Avenue is perfect, putting you right in the heart of the River Market District and within easy sauntering distance of incredible dining, nightlife, and the Clinton Presidential Center. The hotel features beautifully modernized renovations, and the lobby Bistro is fantastic for a convenient bite or drink. Above all, the customer service here is something that Walt Disney himself would envy -- 100%! Every single department goes above and beyond, from the welcoming front desk associates and accommodating managers on duty, to the attentive Bistro servers and knowledgeable concierge agents. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring clean, spacious rooms and a fantastic fitness center. Pro-tip for anyone visiting: if you are a fan of President Bill Clinton and are in town to visit his Presidential Library and Museum, request room 614. The window perfectly frames the park, bridge, and campus. When I stay in Little Rock (either for business or pleasure), this is the hotel that gets my business EVERY SINGLE TIME. And on a parting note, THANK YOU, Little Rock, for your phenomenal hospitality. It was a wonderful business trip this week!!
Super friendly staff, the front desk clerk RosA and the housekeeping manager were angels. We left another hotel to come here and they made us feel welcome and were so kind throughout our stay. Starbucks was supposed to re open at 5 pm and didn’t; they REMOVED the pool a year ago and the web has not updated, really sucks since that’s why we decided to stay there. Hotel was clean but the AC in our room could hardly keep up and the filters hadn’t been changed in maybe a year or more. Almost totally blocked.
Not a bad property. The rooms are a little dated and Lenin’s and towels feel and look “old”. The location is great with many food options within walking distance. The parking situation is not ideal. You can street park (free on weekends only) or park in the parking garage but it’s not attached to the property.
Julie and Barbara were absolutely fantastic! The hotel was clean and welcoming on arrival, with a great location for dining options. I came down to the bar before dinner, Julie had a fantastic list of restaurants within walking distance which really helped me make up my mind. After dinner the bar was still busy and had a great atmosphere. Julie makes a delicious old fashioned! I will be using this hotel for any future business travel in the area! Thank you!
I must be honest. I have never stayed at the hotel. However the bar in the lobby, is the place to be. Julie the bartender is a true mixoligist! She's fun, and can make the best espresso martini in Little Rock! On a business trip? Passing through, or live in the area. Want a good drink? Check it out!
In town for the Little Rock Marathon, and grabbed a room last minute. Perfect location downtown, with everything within walking distance. Including the Marriott where the race started, and President Clinton library the other direction. There's a parking garage right behind it, and they allow in and out for $18 a day.
My father booked an eight-night stay at the Courtyard by Marriott while attending a funeral. During his entire stay, his room was cleaned only once—on the first night. Despite repeatedly speaking with the front desk, including an employee named Rosa, he was continually assured that housekeeping would service his room. This never happened. Trash accumulated to the point where he was forced to empty his own trash daily, which is unacceptable for a paid hotel stay. During his visit, he also made a purchase at the American Bistro located in the hotel lobby. Upon checkout, he reviewed his hotel statement and found all charges to be accurate. However, after later reviewing his bank statements, he discovered additional unexplained charges totaling $42.03. When he contacted customer service, he was told that the manager, Candace Matthews, confirmed the charges were from the American Bistro and that she could see them in the system. When we later spoke directly with Candace, her explanation changed—she then stated she did not see any Bistro charges at all. This inconsistency is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on both staff accountability and management practices. Paying over $800 for a stay that included inadequate housekeeping, conflicting information from staff, and unresolved billing issues is unacceptable. Management promised to return his call regarding a refund, yet it has been over a month with no response or resolution. This experience reflects a serious failure in hospitality standards, transparency, and customer service. Courtyard by Marriott needs to do better.
