The Hotel Hot Springs receives mixed reviews, with significant concerns regarding cleanliness, pest control, and outdated facilities. While some guests appreciate the convenient location and friendly staff (specifically one individual, Kyven), numerous complaints highlight issues with dirty rooms, stained linens, and a generally unkempt appearance. Recent reviews indicate a decline in hotel maintenance and guest experience.

ROACH MOTEL. And the staff was so nonchalant about it, that they KNOW they have an infestation. My family came for a family reunion and rented out the entire thirteenth floor. There were several rooms on that floor that had GIANT ROACHES. There were several on the twelfth floor as well as on nine! The place looks like it’s a great place to stay, but looks can be deceiving. The free breakfast, you might as well stay at the Hilton and get a good breakfast there or eight mins away at Cracker Barrel. The potatoes were SOAKED in grease, the eggs sit there for hours, they only serve the thinnest slices of back ever on weekdays so the only protein available is sausage that taste fake. If you do stay here, just know if you see a roach they’ll say, “we can move you or give you a discount” but that move doesn’t guarantee no roaches. One front desk employee said, “well, try to sleep the best you can” rude and uncalled for comment.

Was in town for a wedding. Booked this hotel as it was a recommended lodging location for out of town guests on the couples wedding website. The staff was very nice although a little shorthanded but that is just part of life at time. Was there just long enough to change clothes and get to the wedding. Came in from the wedding late at night, pulled the covers back and it was very visible that the sheets were dirty. 6 long brown hairs on the flat bed sheet in random locations. Not just an accident stray from the cleaning service. It was very visible that the sheets and pillow cases were not crisp and clean and had been slept on. Called front desk and she was very apologetic and we went to get new linens to just sleep on top of the covers. Addressed the issue with the front desk at checkout the following morning and got a “I’ll let the cleaning people know”. No “let me comp your valet” or check with my manager for a credit. Just disappointed. The point of a hotel is to have a nice clean bed to sleep in while traveling and that was a 100% failure.

This hotel looked nice from the website photos. Our particular room was ok at best. First day will killed a roach. 2nd night, another roach. They were coming from behind the bed. The room was not cleaned very well as you can see from one of the photos someone's red white and blue pipe cleaner decoration of some sort was left behind. Not sure how you miss that. The kuerig was nice but had about an inch of dust in the water tank and it wasn't one you could remove and clean. The coffee left was expired. The curtains wouldn't fully close and we're being kept together by a hair clip as seen in the photo. The bathroom had no ventilation system so I assume thats what all the black mildew/mold is from (see pics) and the bathroom faucet was not clean upon arrival. Positive notes are the beds were very comfortable but I will say there was little cover for the beds. They had very thin blankets on them and there were no extras in the closet. The food served at our convention was good as well. Parking is in a garage about a block from the hotel. They do have valet for $20/ day. The check in staff was less than friendly. They weren't rude but sure didn't like being interrupted from their phone to have to check people in. It was in a convenient location to walk to downtown as a high note. With all the other choices for hotels in Hot Springs, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. If it's Hote Hot Springs or nothing... then ok. You'll survive.

First time visiting Hot Springs and we had a blast. We were there for our daughter's dance team nationals. Hotel is centrally located to just about everything and they will give you a shuttle bus ride within 3 or so miles. Every person we encountered was absolutely awesome. So polite and friendly. We are already thinking about coming back to visit more of the city

Staff at check in was lovely, staff receiving calls at desk incredibly rude. Hotel is very dated. Requested change of rooms due to strong odor in first room. An effort has been made to update rooms, but our room had dirty baseboards, dirty shower, handprint smudges visible on headboard. Wall mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispenser all empty. Unfortunately realized this after I’d gotten in the shower. Called the desk to request they bring some up and she said I could come down and get some. When I asked if there was anyone who could bring them since I just got out of the shower, she hung up on me.

Great location, walking distance to many things. Loved that there was free street parking in front of the hotel. Staff was really nice but I asked for a room far from the elevator and confirmed it at check in but they still gave me a room near the elevator. The hotel is pretty dumpy for the prices they charge. The bathroom was dirty, with long strands of hair all over the floor. The shower was also dirty and rusty and the drain was clogged, so the shower was basically a bath tub for my feet. Great location but not worth the price.

This hotel was very clean, with a large shower and a great view. (We were on the 13th floor.) The staff was friendly, and the location is fantastic. There are free parking spots right outside of the front door. We parked and walked the entire downtown area. I would recommend not staying close to the elevator, if you can help it. The sound wasn't obnoxious-- more like a whirl-- but it was a little loud and we were at the other end of the hall.

Perfect if you love staying at a filthy hotel in a great location! We arrived quite late but were greeted kindly and checked in quickly. We begrudgingly paid for parking in the open and seemingly unmonitored deck, and then rode the stinky elevator with sticky floors to the 10th floor. The door to the room didn’t open, so we headed back down thinking we had the wrong room. The very nice desk person rode back up with us and taught us to pull up on the door handle because the doors “just break sometimes.” I noticed the carpets in the hall were very stained and covered in lots of visible debris that was piled up around the doorway and in the threshold of the room. Once we got the key working, my husband pointed out that his hands were sticky from the door handle. The room smelled stagnant and maybe a bit moldy. I have stayed in a lot of mid hotels, so I wasn’t put off just yet. As we settled in, I noticed some pieces of food on the floor around the bed, and that’s when I got worried. Looking around, there was hair, crumbs, dust and dirt all over the floors, inside drawers, and on the walls of the bathroom and shower. There were also water stains and mold around fire sprinklers. We unmade one of the beds and found hair of many different lengths, textures and colors all over very worn, dingy sheets and on the mattress cover. This wasn’t a few stray hairs, but the accumulation of many people who slept there before us. The beds were also wrapped in zippered, fabric mattress protectors that didn’t seem possible to take off between linen changes. I fear for what the mattresses look like under that. At this point, I was willing to just sleep in the other bed and leave the next day, but then when we saw the stains on the sheets. Pulling the sheets from the mattress, we found yellow and brown stains soaking through the mattress cover. I can only assume that means these sheets are not regularly changed, because the stains were not new. I can handle some dirt and hair in an old hotel, but unwashed linens are inexcusable when the whole point of a hotel is a place to sleep. Spare yourself the despair and spend a bit more for included onsite parking, clean sheets and basic attention to detail.

I was very disappointed. The hotel itself is in serious need of updating, and the room floor was filthy. I paid $500 for a weekend and was extremely disappointed. Now to brag. Kyven (hope I spelled that right) was absolutely fantastic!!! We got there Friday at 11. The valet refused to help us because it was 11pm and he was done for the night. So Kyven got us checked in and took care of the car! He was so friendly and provided excellent customer service. The other guy was very rude. I will not stay here again.
