Great experience all around. A perk is the convenience of seeing and betting on races from your room. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. I have to give a shout out to housekeeping. On my first night the housekeeper who serviced my room was outstanding! She turned down our bed and prepared the room nicely for the evening. She left her name on a card, but I could not read the writing. Note to staff, print your name legibly under your signature. I want to give her so much credit, but again I do not know her name. All I can remember is a "V" as the first initial (I think). I ended up leaving a tip at the front desk for her because they needed to research their schedule to find her. I did not experience the casino, but my spouse did. Gambling is not my thing. Room service was also top-notch! I've had room service in other establishments, no comparison to Oaklawn. My critique goes toward valet service, they are the reason for the loss of the 5th star. I'm used to using valet and that entails opening the doors for the customers. None of that here, they barely even greeted us. Despite valet service, I will return.

My husband surprised me with a weekend getaway to Oaklawn to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect escape from our busy lives. From the moment we arrived until the day we checked out, every part of our stay exceeded our expectations. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, our room was comfortable and well-appointed, and every staff member we encountered—from the concierge to housekeeping—made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. The level of service throughout the property was outstanding, and we truly felt pampered during our stay. One of the highlights for me was an incredible massage at the spa. The amenities available before and after my service made the experience feel even more special, and I highly recommend treating yourself if you have the opportunity. While I was relaxing at the spa, my husband was doing his best to “help pay for it” over at the casino! Thankfully, we both had a wonderful time. Another unexpected highlight was Oaklawn’s complimentary shuttle service. It made exploring downtown Hot Springs so easy without worrying about traffic, parking, or calling an Uber. We even used it to attend our first arena football game, and it couldn’t have been more convenient. A special thank-you to Kenneth, our shuttle driver, who was friendly, professional, and truly exceptional. He made every ride enjoyable and added to an already wonderful experience. Our anniversary weekend was everything we hoped it would be—relaxing, memorable, and filled with exceptional hospitality. We left feeling refreshed, reconnected, and already looking forward to our next visit.

I’ve never experienced such a poorly run casino. Ask 3 people same question, get 3 different answers I don’t know what the problem is with the roulette table, dealers at other gaming tables standing there with nothing to do but you can’t open the roulette table with some consistency ? The same BS every day, last night there, put the icing on the cake, Waiting 4 hours, 5 hours, 6 oh let’s make it 7, It’s slow season, appreciate your customers. You will pay for your drinks, fine. One more thing, don’t go if you experience back or leg problems and walk a bit unbalanced , they have no problem accusing you of being intoxicated. A maze getting in and out of the place, doors open, doors locked, not a mind reader, Large Enter Here Sign, proceed with caution, good chance the door is locked . This casino has become a joke

Went yesterday. As someone who has been to 20+ casinos, this one is the most boring. I tried, after just not enjoying a trip there in years. The way it is set up, is a disaster. It doesn't sound like a real casino. All the games, are very boring electronic waste of time. They basically removed all the fun games. Replaced them, with the dumbest electronic types. If I feel this way, many others do too. Thx

This post is about the casino. The hotel looks very nice. The casino I should of believed the locals when they said this casino is listed as the worst casino in America. I won't ever come back to this casino. They rob you. All machines are rigged. Not only that, the other reviews were correct, the dealers are mean. But what really got me is when I heard the security and managers escort someone out for winning too much money. They said "We have been observing you with the cameras, you need to leave" I guess they are watching everyone else also and making sure you do not win too much money. SMH. I would give no stars if I could. Big oversized parking plenty of empty room to park but if you are a truck driver, security will run you off property.

I was at the casino at around 4 am Monday May 4 , i asked the security if he call a taxi for me, he said later.Later on he called them and he said the phone was ringing and he was also instructed to use another company and they were both ringing and not answering . So i told him i used the companySunday morning May 3 and he came.So i asked him the telephone company of the Spa taxi and i called and somebody answered and i told her the security said nobody was answering .She said i’m just here.I asked the security guard his name and he said he called his supervisor. As i was sitting on the bench waiting for his supervisor , The security guard left his post walking in a circle and pacing. This guy has tattoos on his chest. The supervisor came and said i was irritated and i said i am not happy because he said that you changed taxi company and i said i just used it yesterday and was able to contact them. I heard him asked the guy if he dialed 501 and he said yes. Finally this supervisor said the telephone is not working and that can happen. The supervisor asked me to leave, did not even apologize , rude , entitled with his security guard job ,disrespectful . I do not know if these people are mentally fit for their job they were hired. You need to check them. I looked at the previous reviews and i saw Spencer the security guard was mentioned twice for bad behavior. Though these people , are working to ensure safety of the place, they should study customer service. I never had any problems going home early in the morning except for that day, The security guards always called the taxi for me and watched till i got picked up. I was very frustrated with the guy with tattoos on his chest pacing as well as the security supervisor at that time.

From the moment we arrived at Oaklawn Hot Springs, the experience felt different… this is not just a hotel, it’s an atmosphere. The arrival is seamless: everything is perfectly organized, with a modern yet warm ambiance that immediately draws you in. The design strikes that rare balance between contemporary luxury and genuine comfort. It never feels cold or impersonal — it feels alive. The valet parking service was absolutely flawless. Smooth, efficient, and handled with a level of professionalism that immediately sets the tone for your stay. It’s one of those details that might seem small, but it elevates the entire experience from the very beginning. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a direct view of the racetrack, and honestly… it was on another level. Waking up to horses running right in front of us was something truly special — one of those moments that feels almost cinematic. The room itself is simply spectacular: spacious, elegant, and thoughtfully designed with a clean, modern aesthetic. Every detail is intentional. The bed is incredibly comfortable, but what impressed us the most was the silence. You hear absolutely nothing. It’s a deep, complete sense of tranquility that truly allows you to disconnect. The overall feel of the room is warm and inviting, with a calming energy that makes you want to stay in and enjoy the space rather than rush out. The room itself becomes part of the experience. And one detail that truly elevated everything: the turn-down service — a level of attention to detail that is becoming increasingly rare and almost lost in many hotels today. That classic touch of high-end hospitality that you don’t always find. Coming back to a room prepared for rest, with that extra level of care, makes a lasting impression and makes you feel genuinely taken care of. This is the kind of place that invites you to fully immerse yourself — to enjoy every service the hotel offers, from the rooms to the amenities, because everything is executed at such a high level. In short, Oaklawn may be rated as a four-star property… but it absolutely feels like a five-star experience. Elegance, tranquility, thoughtful details, and a memorable stay from start to finish. Without a doubt, a place we would return to.

An unforgettable 5-star experience at Oaklawn Hot Springs We traveled from Dallas to spend a weekend here, and from the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was simply exceptional. We stayed in a Junior Suite, and the entire experience exceeded every expectation. The reception team welcomed us with outstanding professionalism and warmth truly top-tier service from the very first interaction. We also used the valet parking service, which was seamless, efficient, and added an extra level of convenience and luxury to our arrival. Our suite was beautiful, spacious, and impeccably maintained, with a breathtaking view overlooking the horse racing track something that made the stay feel even more special and unique. What truly elevated the experience was the attention to detail. When we returned in the evening, the turndown service had prepared the room perfectly for rest everything was set in such a cozy and elegant way that we could immediately relax and enjoy the night. To top it all off, we were welcomed with champagne and flowers, creating a moment that felt truly unique and unforgettable. It was not just a stay it was an experience. The level of hospitality, kindness, and attention from the entire staff was outstanding. Every detail reflected luxury, care, and a genuine commitment to excellence. Without a doubt, this hotel deserves every bit of a 5 star rating. We will absolutely be returning.

Overall a decent Casino and excellent Race Track with a couple of minor flaws...the need to scan IDs is intrusive and unnecessary and definitely makes a bad first impression... Is it really necessary??? Also I've never been to a Casino that had less automated Ticket Cashing Machines... seriously, they need to add more...also very high Table Limits especially on weekends, makes it easy to keep my $$$ in my pocket. I'd give the Casino 3 Stars and the Racetrack 5...

My fiancée and I visited last night for the first time to celebrate his birthday and had a very disappointing experience at the entrance. When his ID was scanned, it did not read correctly the first time. The head of night security, Spencer, immediately told us to leave the property. I politely asked if they could please scan it again, and when they did, it worked without any issue. Despite that, Spencer said he had already told us to leave and insisted we exit. His tone and behavior were rude and unnecessarily aggressive. I understand that security policies are important, but professionalism and respectful communication matter just as much. As we were leaving, I told him "God bless you" and to have a blessed day, because we chose to handle the situation calmly. Unfortunately, the experience left a very negative first impression. We go to Hot Springs almost every weekend. It’s a shame we can’t enjoy and support the casino because of poor service. I hope management addresses how guests are treated at the entrance.
