Recent reviews highlight inconsistent experiences at the Holiday Inn Osceola, with recurring issues regarding room assignments, malfunctioning appliances, and cleanliness concerns. While staff are generally praised for their helpfulness, the property struggles with operational problems and a lack of complimentary breakfast.
My husband and I are from Alabama. We stayed here as a halfway point to us going on a special trip. The first stay here was somewhat okay. Since he got such a good deal he booked our return stay before we ever left Alabama. He now wishes he hadn't. The second reason and time around, the hotel gave our room to someone else. We had to go back to lobby to get a new room. The microwave locked up on us twice. Luckily, the first time it locked up, it finally opened, but the second time we didn't get our breakfast as it was locked up in the microwave and wouldn't open. The hotel refused to anything about it as there were no mantience or manager on the property. The shower was hard to operate correctly. We had to go back to lobby again as our key cards didn't work. Finally, the worst part, we found dirty socks under the bed when making sure we didn't leave anything.
The bad: no free breakfast. They want $13 for your standard hotel breakfast which is usually free. Room was very humid, felt like we were sleeping on wet sheets even with the room fan running continuously. Pool closed. The good: The room was updated and modern. Great room darkening blinds. Free coffee. Good location with Walmart, gas, and breakfast place nearby. No bugs, room was clean and no weird smells.
Nice new hotel. Still typical holiday inn express breakfast- except this one costs extra. If charging for breakfast it needs to be better than holiday inn express breakfast..
Only reason for not a 5 star is that they closed the restaurant and bar the day I arrived. Only breakfast was available. However, Sonya was so helpful and took great care of everything I needed!!
The hotel is brand new and smells like money. The construction is not the best as my room on the third floor has already started to creak when I walk on it although in the hotel's defense I'm a 245 pound chubby behemoth but still. The shower's pressure is definitely weaker than what Iran is feeling from Trump's war. They should definitely add a free breakfast option as I paid almost 200$ for my room. The hotel in the restaurant is great and I highly recommend it.
Customers service was excellent! The GM was very knowledgeable helpful, and kept a smile on their face entire day, which made me feel truly welcome. The second shift staff was just as great friendly and attentive. Overall a wonderful experience.
I returned to my room Saturday night and my door was open about 1 foot. The front desk said they would speak to the staff. Very unsettling, tried the breakfast buffet but the nomal cook was out, biscuits and croissants were not done, still doughy and uncooked in the middle. My room was fine and the staff was courteous and friendly.
