The Peabody House Historic Inn offers a charming and uniquely memorable experience in the heart of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Guests consistently praise its convenient location, beautiful Victorian ambiance, and attentive host, Tamara. While the breakfast offerings have mixed reviews, the overall atmosphere and well-maintained rooms are highly appreciated.
Peabody House was a unique and enjoyable stay. If you prefer self-check-in and a more independent experience, this is a great option. We stayed in the Mushroom Room and found it surprisingly comfortable. One of the highlights of our visit was stepping outside our room one morning and finding a deer right there. We stayed still as she calmly walked past us—such a memorable experience! We also enjoyed spending the evenings outside by the fireplace and listening to music drifting over from Main Street. The breakfast was a bit underwhelming compared to other Bed & Breakfasts we've experienced, though the blueberry muffins were excellent. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere, wildlife, and outdoor spaces.
This is such a charming, quiet, and romantic place. It is conveniently located at the top of the stairs from Basin Park in downtown Eureka Springs. The hostess, Tamara, was extremely sweet and accommodating for us, and provided coffee, snacks, and a delicious breakfast in an adorable dining room. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
It was quite an experience staying in this historic house. The breakfast was great. Our host was great. The room was great. Location was Amazing.
My wife and I stayed in the Cottage for one night this last weekend and it was great. The location can't be beat. Just a single long staircase to Main St. Tamara, the host was very accommodating. The Cottage was clean and very nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The stairs are a little steep, which can be tough after a full day of hiking in town. The only disappointment, was that other reviews mentioned sweet treat left in the room. Aside from some snacks, there was nothing special. The jacuzzi was awesome, but when I turned on the jets, it blew all kinds of dirt and sand out of the jets. It was less than ideal. Breakfast was an assortment of store bought pastries, packaged granola and biscotti bars, a yogurt, fruit, granola parfait, coffee and juice. The seating areas were nice and we enjoyed the firepit and a glass of wine on the patio overlooking main street. Overall, it was a great stay. We would go back for sure.
We almost had to cancel which would have been horrible due to they have a no cancellations policy. (Which they should). The rooms are great the host was awesome and the place is very well kept and very welcoming. 100% would recommend anyone to stay here. They are very thoughtful with the way the room is set up. They even have spare toothbrushes and snacks. Very well done Peabody team.
I could not recommend the Peabody House more! We stayed in The Sapphire Suite. A magical room featuring blue and gold everywhere. Check-in was a breeze, as the instructions were sent via email in advance of the stay. The room was perfectly clean. There were a few small snacks and refreshments in our room when we arrived. The room was nice and cool, considering it was nearly 90 degrees outside. The jacuzzi tub worked perfectly and we really enjoyed using it. Breakfast was simple, but delicious! Freshly brewed coffee and orange juice, fresh fruit, muffins, and parfaits with granola. Our innkeeper also baked a delicious spinach and tomato quiche for breakfast on 2 of the mornings. The Peabody House as a whole was so incredibly charming. It was beautiful inside, and out. The parlor room where we enjoyed our breakfast has a dark Victorian feel to it that we loved. If you're wanting to stay within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in the heart of Eureka, this is the place for you! It's nestled just off the main downtown strip up a set of stairs. We went without our car for the first couple of days because of how conveniently located The Peabody is. The Innkeeper, Tamara, made the trip very special. She was a joy to speak with, and had great recommendations for us during our stay. She was very kind and attentive.
The Peabody House Historic Inn in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, is a gem! Our Victorian-style room was stunning, spotless, and exceeded expectations. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the hearty breakfast offered healthy choices. Perfectly located, it’s steps from downtown’s attractions. Note: lots of stairs to rooms and around town, so mobility challenges may be an issue. Hands-down, this is the B&B to choose for an unforgettable stay!
